A former boss of mine in Oklahoma City, who is now the news director of an awesome local TV station in Charlotte, North Carolina, used to say of me that I was a “mile wide and an inch deep…and that he meant that in the best of ways.”
I never took offense to that. Instead, in the digital content space, I think being a mile wide with the ability to go deep is the ultimate compliment. In my years at both KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City and with Griffin Media in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa, I led digital teams, worked daily with editorial, with video, with breaking news, severe weather, social media, YouTube, and somehow stayed on top of every new tactic, trend and platform coming at us.
A half year into my solo venture, that is still the case. Even more, in fact.
That’s why I’m rethinking how I position Doable Digital Media to the universe. I want to tap into the golden rule (do unto others) to formulate an offering that appeals to the business or organization that wants it all and, well, isn’t totally sure what it wants day-to-day.
That could include helping with newsletters or launching a podcast. It could involve some assistance with PR for a high-priority project, managing a YouTube channel, or writing blog posts. Maybe it’s an SEO audit, an AI audit or helping the executive team really get going on LinkedIn.
It could be a little of all the above.
When I subscribe to Netflix, I get all of Netflix. Sure, there could be tiers. For example, I have to pay an extra monthly fee to add an MLS subscription to my Apple TV account.
But the business is paying for the service, and in a world of solopreneurship, they’re paying for me.
That’s why I have put together a “subscribe to me” model for Doable Digital Media. Yes, I am still available for one-off projects, but this is for those businesses and organizations who need a jack-of-all-trades.
There is no commitment. It’s all billed up-front, like a retainer. But again, there is no contract.
And it includes all the various digital products one would need to execute: Descript, TubeBuddy / VidIQ, Dropbox, OpusClip, Epidemic Sound, Uppbeat, etc.

You can choose how to utilize those hours however you’d see fit — but beware! Finding out what can actually get accomplished in 20 hours per month may impact how you see your current marketing or PR agency forever more.
